Loved this. It was well written. A gripping lost-and-found story. I actually thought it was gonna have a "no dice" ending. This reminds of my own rule about losses and finds: if you lose something important and then find it, the joy of the find is often greater than the temporary despair of the loss. As such, a lost-and-found experience like the one you describe here, David, might be considered a net gain.

David! Faith and determination...and a little saintly luck...have always worked for me. Glad you had a great story to tell. BTW...the "monetary threshold" would be important in this case as I've recently found out after my daughter went swimming with the key fob for the Nissan in her pocket. They are quite expensive to replace
